The Municipality of Etne has a population of about 4,000 and is situated between the cities of Bergen and Stavanger. Here you can relax in a pleasant countryside environment and try out the numerous activities and adventures offered here: Fishing in rivers, fjords and lakes, walking in beautiful woodland or mountain country, or enjoying boating and bathing. Skånevik, "the jewel of Sunnhordland", is an idyllic small town keeping up its architectural tradition, with narrow streets and well-kept gardens. In Etne you will find a local museum, many historical relics and old churches, the oldest dating back to c. 1160 AD. The Langfoss waterfall by the Åkra Fjord is an impressing sight, boasting a sheer drop of more than 600 metres. Post office, bank, hotel and pleasant shops in Etne and Skånevik. During the summer months market days, a large country market, fishing festivals, marches and much more are organised. During your visit our comfortable cabins and holiday homes will be your home.
